Wondering if there are any clubs or groups around here, have yet to try any 3d. Would like to try some for hunting practice, and shoot with some other folks. Going it alone up here so far, have had no luck contacting the one or two leads so far.

I don't know where in VT you are but the Green Island R&G Club is in Melrose, NY just 15 minutes from Bennington.

Catamount usually holds one.  Pretty nice course and fine folk.

Thanks guys, I'll look into those. Not too far from Catamount, and wouldn't mind a trip to Melrose if it's a good shoot.
I do keep my eyes on the N.Y. shoots as well; native New Yorker here, and still not far from the Adirondacks.

Hi . Where are you in Vt.? I am in N Y not far from Bennington . I do a lot of tenkara fly fishing in Vt.

Ring, I'm way up north, a few miles from the border. About 60 miles northeast of Burlington.

look for the "white mountain tradition bowmen" they are from NH but they shoot a lot with the VT folks and they would know,,,,  I went to a few shoots in Jonesboro, VT years ago so they might be still around too.

VTer,

Haven't found much at all for trad shoots. Looks like there's a little more over in NH, Mass, or NY.

I know it's quite a drive from the Northeast Kingdom, but I strongly recommend the events sponsored by the White Mountain Traditional Bowhunters and the Maine Traditional Archers. Both run very good courses, both offer onsite camping, and both are chockful of friendly (and helpful) attendees. The one thing they each lack is a good webmaster. Contacting them personally is a good idea.

Eidsvolling, Scott, thank you for the suggestions. I do look for these shoots; them and Catamount bowhunters seem the closest.

Jacques Bonin who can be found here under his full name belongs to the GMTB so he may have good info.

Thanks Tajue,
Good tip, I'll get in touch with Jacques. I think he's active in NH also.
