Opinions and pics, please!!!

I'm on Gregg's list, and leaning toward a Falcon as a Christmas present to myself in about 9 months.  I'd sure like to see and hear about yours!

I just got on the list too. Trying to decide between 58" Elkheart and 60" Falcon. I don't need the length but I like it.

I would love to see pics of a Falcon. I got on list this month and am also deciding between 56" Elkheart and a 58" Falcon.  I thing only real diff. Is riser length.  I would love to see pics.

That's a great looking bow.  Really like the lines!  Thanks for posting the pics.

Anyone with experience shooting both the Elkheart and the Falcon??? Observations???

Thanks for the pics. I'm leaning toward  Falcon with longer riser.  Keep the pics coming.

PheonixArcher, Beautiful bows...

What is that wood in the riser?

Thanks, Dave

I don't have any pics of just the bow, I can take some if you like but here is my Falcon. 58" of pure smoothness!
These are the cell phone pics so sorry about the quality!

Beautiful bow and great deer... those pics are worthy of a double post!  Thanks for sharing.

AGREED!
Robhood, what veneers are those? Are they curly birch?
Draw weight?
Takedown version? (It doesn't look like it, but am asking just to be sure.)
Also, why did you go with the Falcon over the Elkheart?
Thanks.

Archie

One more question for Robhood... What is your draw length?

I believe the riser wood in the pics that Gregg sent me are cocobolo. I'll ask him the next time we talk.

Robhood, that is a beautiful bow, and a great buck!

I would advise talking to Gregg about which bow may suit certain needs better, but if you like a little shorter bow for hunting, or have a bit shorter draw length, the Elkheart would be your best bet. If you don't mind a 58" or 60" bow, like a little more mass weight, and have a draw length a little on the longer side, the Falcon would probably suit you better.

I know that the shrews and Java man bows are different, but I draw just a tad over 28", and my 58" super shrew fits me wonderfully. That being said, I shot a 54" Elkheart, and couldn't for the life of me feel a difference in fit. And it was a tad smoother, quieter and faster to boot. He's starting on my Elkheart as I type this.

Call or email him! You won't be disappointed.

Just took possession of my 58" Falcon a week or so a go.

Take down with phenolic riser.  It's 71@ 28" and with 30" .300 full metal jackets and 400 grains up front; bare shafts 30 yards.

Super forgiving arrow for the heavy weight bow crowd.

I ended up not going with a takedown. The limbs are waterfall bubinga and the riser is phenolic. I did add buffalo to the tips and front of the riser. Azhunter is correct in that I draw just a tad over 29".
