Holm Made River Runner

I have found a used River Runner that I was seriously thinking about buying and wanted to know how you all liked yours.

Loved mine, but it had a fatal flaw - it was right handed. I now have a really nice little Holm Made Osprey. I've owned several other bows by Chad Holm and I don't see how you could possible go wrong if the specs are right for you.

I bought a new Holm Made Osprey recently and have been very pleased. I don't think you can go wrong.

A River Runner is my go to hunting bow. I also have a Kodiak copy of Chad's and a dual shelf River Runner. You can't go wrong, great bows, great bowyer and a good guy. Also have 2 of his longbows......what can I say, I like his stuff.

I have a RiverRunner that is just a super nice bow. The finish is good and design is good. Only problem I have is with the thumb rest. It is really awkward for me but I hate to remodel the bow and refinish it. I guess one of these days I will put it in the adds. I hate too though since it is such a nice bow. Anyone should be proud to own one.

I have not shot any of Ron's extensive collection of Chad's bows that I didn't think, Wow, I love this bow.

If I was looking for another bow, I would seriously give the river runner a look.

I have a 62 inch River Runner.I really appreciate what a well rounded bow it is and love shooting arrows from it.Its a pleasure to handle.No complaints.

Have a 60'' 48@28 River Runner. New to traditional and wanted a 50's style bow starting out. Looked at other bows but decided on Chad after reading an interview.

He was very helpful with me as I had a lot of questions being new. Typical of most bowyers from what I have read here.

Based on my experience I recommend Chad without reservation.

I owned two of Chad's River Runners. Ron owns one of them now.

I currently own an Osprey and really like how it handles. Chad's bows are truly works of art. You would not be disappointed.

I should have mine middle or late next week. Can't wait. It is a 44 pound bow @ 28 and I draw 27. Think I will order some CE Heritage 90's for it. All of my arrows are 150's so figure they might be a little stiff.

What are you shooting up front on the 150's. May have to just go up in point weight.

Well I have been shooting a 52 @ 28 inch bow and again I draw 27, and shooting 150's with a 50 grain brass insert and 175 grain point.

You might be surprised at how they fly.....I would give them a try as is and see what happens. I think you will be happy with your River Runner....

I have wanted to try one for quite some time. This one is exactly the poundage I would have wanted had I ordered a new one.
