Allen gave a sneak peek of the Classic coming my way:

johnnyk, that's a great looking Chief!  It looks quite a bit like my Contender...

After a morning hunt I took this one of my Chief.  I believe it was my first hunt with the bow...

This is the myrtle riser on the Chief...

shdwhwk, you have some terrific looking bows!  You're Chief should be in The Met...  That bubinga in your wife's bow is unreal too.  I haven't seen any of that complexion before; very unique.  Allen's a 'man that knows how to get things'.  When I contacted him about the ziricote he let me know he'd have to do a little digging... it doesn't just look like that.  Your Classic will be no exception, just look at that veneer.  Thanks for the preview, we want a full report once you have it!

Hermon, yes that is myrtlewood. Allen has some pretty rare stuff! He has lived in myrtlewood country here in Oregon for all of his life.

Thanks Chase - you, johnnyk, runningbird all have great looking bows, don't think Allen ever built a ugly bow. The best part is they shoot great also.
That bubinga is that best I've seen on Susan's bow, the myrtle veneers are just as beautiful and she can really shoot it too.
Can't wait for the Classic, should get it the day before my birthday  :goldtooth:

Beautiful bows made by a truly nice guy!

The Texas whitetail season is not a memory, but instead many, many memories.  Excitement, disappointment, all of the ingredients in the recipe that make October seem too far away.  I hunted exclusively with the Liberty Edge I received from Allen in March.  It's the bow I shoot every day.  I usually take a few out into the yard, but when I only have time to grab one this is it.  There were some exciting encounters with great bucks , but the balance of luck was with them this year; so it goes...  I was blessed with a nice doe, however.  First proverbial stamp on the riser, as the red baron might do, to shake off that new bow smell as only a deer can.

My Contender Elite spent some time in the woods during the early season 2014. Quietest longbow I think I've ever shot.
