Last week I received my new Liberty Edge from Allen Boice.  Shortly thereafter I emailed him that he is the Enzo Ferrari of bows, along with other first impressions...  It is 64", and 53# @ 26".  It's so beautiful that even my wife, Jill, took pause to admire it; no other bow has done this... remarkable!  After a few hours the day it arrived I could say, unequivocally, that it is the most sublime shooting experience I've had.  A week more has only further substantiated this; it was not merely the excitement of something new.  It is my quietest bow.  I like to fine tune, make my own strings, etc...  this one I just want to preserve in its natural state.  The arrows fly deliberate as air hockey pucks, and hit hard like a Marvin Hagler jab.  They should sail through whitetail with the relative ease of a paper plane through my fifth grade homeroom.

I enjoy writing, so this could easily metastasize into several paragraphs of praise for Allen's work, but I want this thread to be an opportunity for others as well.  If you've had the privilege of shooting one of Allen's Liberty Bows please feel free to share.

Here are some photos of my new bow.  Ziricote riser, yew core, and myrtle veneers...

Very nice...enjoy!

I love my Liberty English and just had the opportunity to shoot Allen's Classic, quite impressive to say the least!

Allen is one of, if not THE most under rated bowyers out there! He's also one of the best guys out there!!

In the wind, he's still alive...

Nice looking Edge! I'm in total agreement on how it shoots. Mine has been spending more time on the bow rack while I shoot one Allen's Classic's. Yesterday I brought the Edge out and after the first 3 shots it was like seeing an old friend...real comfortable.
Love the "Marvin Hagler jab" description...haha
Isaiah 49:2...he made me a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver.

Man, I really like that. Ok, now I'm going to his website  :)

His bows are almost too pretty to hunt with.  I have a Chief and English.  Plan on bringing them to the Safari this year

Keefer, the ziricote was instrumental in bringing this bow to the fore.  I have a 62" Edge, as well as a 64" Contender... see where this is going?  The 64" Edge had been quietly slow cooking on a back burner for some time when another TG member posted photos of an amazing Chief with a highly figured ziricote riser.  Shortly thereafter I'm making the case to Jill, upon sound reason, that another bow was not something I wanted, but in fact necessary for the continuance of my traditional voyage!  I'm pretty sure she's starting  to see things my way... and she has enough shoes.

If anyone wants to post photos, go for it.  It would be really fun to see harvest photos of game taken with your Liberty bow.  This one is my first traditional harvest, a doe in October, 2009.  It was taken with the Liberty Chief my father in law gave me when he issued the challenge to "start hunting without the training wheels."  That challenge enriched my life beyond measure.  The evening prior I overshot a very nice buck.  To go from that low valley straight to the mountaintop was extreme, and I've never looked back!  You can tell I was a rookie, as my broadheads weren't pushed in to my quiver's hood foam all the way...  I'm glad the photo caught that.   The camo also has a 'back in the day' quality to it...

Some pictures of the Contender Allen built for my wife less than two months ago,  64" 50#@26". Notice the unusually beautiful Bubinga riser.
