For those of you who use a flicker how do you quiet it? I have heard of mole skin but I do not know how they did it. Pictures would be nice.

I changed out the chain for serving material then I wrapped the clicker with black electrical tape. Much more quiet and you can feel the clicker turn over.

If you dig through your back issues of TBM, there was an article on doing exactly what you're inquiring about. I think it was a year or two back.

I use moleskin and change out the string to string loop cord. I use to use electrical tape, but found when it got cold the tape would make the clicker stop working.

Good info above. Here is a pic of one of mine. I also file down the width of the clicker blade with a file. This reduces the amount of energy required to make it go off. I then wrap the blade in electrical tape.

One wrap electrical tape for me on the clicker blade and I use D-Loop string cord for attachment. I did my one wrap perpendicular to the bowstring...

How much do you take off?  Hadn't thought about that, but some of them can be a bit stiff...

I've had them malfunction when it gets cold with tape and industrial velcro... check it before the big 'un steps out...

I probably take off 1/16" - 1/8" per side. I just file it down until I get the feel and sound I'm looking for. I read that tip on here years ago, and didn't try it until last year.

Thanks for all the info, guys. I'm going to try the tape or moleskin on the blade portion and see how much quieter it is. I've already removed the chain portion and use a piece of loop cord. I used to use the plastic looking velcro, but the  cold ruins the glue and it comes off. Currently using electrical tape.
