OK....
I found a Place that makes Swaged Arrows, My question is....
   How dose the swaged tip affect your overall arrow weight....
   Dose the swaged tip weigh about the same as an insert, 22 grains....
   Are would I need to go from a 125 grn to a 145 grn Broadhead....
   I'm not even sure if I'm wording this Question right....

Since swaging doesn't add any material it will be lighter than adding an insert.

Also make sure that the place actually swages the arrow and doesn't "spin swage" them. Swaging is a true compression act to form metal.

Spin swaging they spin the arrow higih speed and form through heat and the spinning action. This makes a weaker shaft. It is also easily identifiable as the tip will look like a barber pole.

Swaged will look like it has straight splines if there is any indicator at all.

   Someone mentioned them from this site, I was told they make the best ones around....
   They say you start with the arrow 1 inch longer to make the swage, So I was wondering if that makes up for the weight of the Insert....

Swaged arrows are lighter since they have no insert, and you're right you'd prolly have to go to a 145gr bh.

How many grains an inch are the arrows you're having done Mike? Add that many grains to your arrow weight and then you'll have an approximate difference between you're insert arrows and these.

Mike's archery uses the spin method, they are not swaged, the only one that I can recall that actually swaged them was here in Hamilton and he is out of business.

Spin versus hammer swag!!! I guess i'm entitled to my opinion too! I've been shooting swaged arrows since 1984 and i've bought them from the"fella in hamilton MT" and from Mikes archery and have  owned " spin Swager" for many years now ! I Prefer the spin swage, because I found the hammer swaging too short and it also had a lip at the back of the swage that caused the Broadhead to be difficult to align! if as don aludes to the spin swage looks like a Barbars Pole" Its because the swager head was not hot enough and is twisting the arrow, I can put a perfect 7/8" swage on an arrow with no twist and no strength compromise!!! I make this statement without prejudice, because I only do my own arrows and a couple of good friends for FREE!! MIKE does an AWESOME SWAGING job!
   As for Mike G , the answer is that you will lose apprx. 15 grains and it will increase your arrow spine slightly, on the upside it gives you great broadhead alignment. The fewer components to align on an Arrow the fewer problems.
    Now im going hunting.

I agree with you, however the spin-swaged shaft has lost its temper (at the taper) because of the heat generated. Mike's archery swaged several dozen for me many years ago and every one of them bent right where the taper starts.

What happened to the equipment used to hammer swage that the company in Hamilton used, I used to shoot these and would like to get some more.

I think Black Widow Co. still sells swaged arrows.  You might talk to them and they have years of knowledge on the subject.
