Saturday morning I was hunting a big section of woods bordering a old clear cut that is all grown up, It was cool the leaves were a little damp the wind was right, the perfect morning to still hunt,I was just easing along really slow into the wind when I saw a little doe come out about 30 yds away. While I was waiting to see if she would give me a shot, I caught a little movement from the right looked over and here comes this guy down a ridge, it seemed it took forever but he finally worked his way down to me and gave me a 10 yd shot. It was one of those shots you just lay in bed and dream about, he ran about 75 yds and piled up. I have killed alot bigger bucks but I cant remember any of them being any more exciting. This is my first one on the ground and I think I may be doing alot more still hunting and less sitting in a tree. He is a little 6 point and that is one of my boys holding his horns. thanks for reading.

For hunting to have a future, we must invest ourselves in future hunters.

To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

Archery isn't something I do, it's who I am!

Gotta love it when you're at eye level and come out the victor. That's doing it the hard way!
