Looking for a new Hybird longbow. Seen a article not too long ago on a Bowyer in Southern California, who was making a Longbow highly Reflex/Deflex very fast. Can not recall his name but I want one.

In your Opioion what is the faster Hybird longbow you have shot. Getting shoulder surgery and neeed to come down in poundage from 58 at 27 to probaby 47@27, but want to retain speed and sighting ability.

Can anyone help me out.

A&H, Centaur, Whippenstick, Bigfoot, etc.
I understand your question and acknowledge your desire to drop weight, yet maintain performance, however, with the upper echelon of bowyers today I honestly doubt that the few fps difference between any of the top bows would be discernible to anything other than a chronograph.
I think it would be easier to pick a bow, then ask for specific advice on that bow vs. the myriad of answers you're about to receive.

The fastest r/d longbow I have shot would have to be a Black Widow PL that shot about 10 years ago.  I don't know if it's the fastest out there though.

I was forced to drop a lot of poundage all so .After trying a number of second hand bows , I decided on an A&H . The Zipper was right up there all so . I am sure there are more , but I found the A&H to have the mixture of what I wanted . Speed, good workmanship ,and ease of shooting .

Caribow makes some great hybrids.  Fast, stable, quiet.  All the good stuff.  Fastest? Who knows, but definitely in the mix.

I have had my K-2 from Hill Country for about a month now. It looks to be as fast as my recurve to the naked eye. It is smooth and I dropped down about 5lbs. But if you have never seen one of Roman's bows, this thing is beautiful!
Someday you'll regret the things you didn't do.

I always read a lot about Bigfoot bows being very performance oriented.

I've owned and shot a bunch of different ones, and the fastest one I've shot was a Bigfoot Sasquatch 3pcs. hybrid with triple carbon and foam limbs.

In a 1pc or 2pc:  CENTAUR!!  Truly bonkers for a longbow.  Another equally super choice for a 1pc or 3pc: Stewart Slammer.  Leon's bows are BORN to hunt.  Eerily quiet!  Those two are my all time favs.  Still other wonderful alternates: Zipper, Morrison, or if you want ACS, my preference is for Dryad's version, don't care for the A&H all that much.  Toelke Whips are absolutely super duper as well, though maybe not 'quite' as blazing as some of the others I mentioned, but still one of my all time favs.

I have not shot a Caribow or Bigfoot yet, so can't offer an opinion on those two.

Fastest I've shot has been a Thunderstick MOAB.

Never question a man's choice in bows or the quality of an animal he kills.  He is the only one who has to be satisfied with either of those choices.

Javamans inferno is no joke! Noticeably quicker than a bunch of hybrids I own or have owned in the same poundage verified on a scale. Never chronographed any kind a bow though.
And of course a centaur is hard to beat also.. Two of my favorite speedsters...

Pointer

I found the ACS to be the fastest

All I can say is don't listen to Larry.  He's only tried a few hundred bows.

Quotewant to retain speed and sighting ability.
Easiest way to do that is drop down accordingly with arrow weight.  If you have been shooting 10 gpp with the old draw weight, do the same with the new.

I don't have as much experience with different bows as most of these guys but the TimberGhost is a pretty fast hybrid.

I would put it against any other bow in a race, but as we all know we, I, can't miss them fast enough to kill them.
