Longtime lurker, first time poster. Before I compose a long message, I'm gonna post this as a test, then I will get on with introductions and a review of my new bow!

Welcome from the Greatland...

Anything exquisite is a sure hit with this crowd.  Bring it on.

I live on the coast of WA state, where I manage a small museum. In my spare time I enjoy primitive crafts of all types- bow making, flintknapping, hide tanning. I have been making selfbows for about 15 years, but have almost no experience with fiberglass bows- in fact the bow below is the first bow I ever purchased and the second FG bow I have owned. I hunt with my selfbows and stone points and have taken deer only. I'm an occasional poster over at primitive archer dot com where I post as "Aaron".  

OK, now on to the bow! It's a Falco Storm from Estonia. It's 54" and #45 @ 28". The handle is walnut and the limbs are "imitation ebony".The physical weight of this bow is very light- under a pound.Cost was about $350 including shipping.
I'm using a brace height of 6.75 inches, but may go lower based on the builders recommendation. String is 12 strand FF.
I'm also new to carbon arrows, and I'm starting with GT trad 1535's full length with 145 up front for a total arrow weight of about 425.
Iv'e had the bow about a week and it shoots great- it definitely stacks a bit in the last couple inches, but at only #45 it's not bad. This will be my hunting bow. Here's a shot of it next to my other FG bow, a Bear Kodiak Hunter.
 
 
 

I know there are plenty of great bowyers right here in the USA, but this Estonian company has a great reputation and a friend of mine has one of their bows and I liked the way it shot and the grip fit my hand well. The price was also a factor. My experience in ordering, etc was good- I was able to select from many different woods and handle styles- I wanted something very simple and plain. I also wanted to avoid tropical hardwoods. So I chose Walnut and imitation ebony- I don't know what the stuff is made from. The grip style I chose has no laminations, stripes, etc and has a high wrist position.
Originally, they said it would take about 3 months for production, but in the end it was more like 4 months. All of my emails were responded to promptly and I did not pay until it was done.
Most of Falco's bows have a company logo on the back of the upper limb and a fancy "shield" on the belly where they write in the stats. I did not want either of these and was pleased that they agreed to make this one with out any logo at all.
I'm shooting off the shelf with the stock fur rest and no strike plate- the bow is cut about 3/16 before center.

Bear Heart- it's the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center at Cape Disappointment.

Great museum.  Camped at the state park and visited the museum this summer.

thats a sweet looking bow, saw videos on ytube and they seems pretty quick. went to their website...pretty neat seeing what foreign bowyers are using in their bows.
