A few weeks ago I saw a post by Mr. Ron LaClair regarding his new Shrew Bows by Chuck Deshler. It was as if he'd seen my recently posted want ad for a Classic Hunter.  They were stock bows, but one of them could very well have been my own custom order; a Bocote riser with Ron's Spiritwood veneers.  McCullogh and Coffey left some big shoes to fill, but Mr. Deshler has done so in stride.  Chuck has masterfully continued the Shrew tradition, while giving us something very much his own.

Just for fun;  you can stare at these veneers the way you stare at hawk circling effortlessly overhead, which I was doing, when suddenly I noticed a brown bear staring right back at me!  Can you find it?

That is an absolutely gorgeous bow!!! And Chuck is one heck of a nice guy, too! Chase, you're blessed to have as fine a bow as I've ever seen.

I can't find the bear though! Driving me crazy looking for it too!! Lol. Maybe if he had Waldo stuck in his teeth I could find him?

I see the Bear but where his nose is if you stare you see skull of a person ...See the eye sockets ?
Funny I have a Hoots recurve with Olive Ash Burl and when I stare at it out while hunting I see all kinds of things in it..   :D

Nice bow. I can't find a bear, but I do see scooby do. Looks like he has a black spot on his cheek and a dark eyebrow! LOL!!!

That is beautiful. Chuck is a great bower and I'm sure he will continue the shrew heritage without a problem .
