I try to shoot 4-5 per day. I shoot off my deck down towards my garden because I still typically hunt from a tree stand. Of course if I am trying to get used to a new bow I shoot a lot more.

BTW, I practice shoot more than my friends and relatives ever did with their compounds. Why? I am convinced they did not really enjoy shooting their bows the way the trad guys do. But maybe that is why I am a recurve/longbow archer, I love everything about traditional archery- even the practice.

I try to shoot every day, but I rarely shoot sixty arrows at a time.  I might only shoot half a dozen arrows in a session, but I might have several sessions in a day.

A nice summer evening will find me shooting a lot of arrows.

On a target for form, 20-50.  Practice, stump shooting, 12 shots never twice on the same mark.

I used to shoot 50 to a hundred a day and did for a few years. I later realized if I only shot a dozen a day without a miss shot my muscle memory stayed in tact and I didn't tire out and make mistakes.  Near hunting season I take only one shot in the evening and sometimes one in the morning.
I'm right there with Pat on this one, only i shoot 3 a day during and right before season. although.... i do tend to obsess now and then at 3d shoots...   :biglaugh:
