Had a bow refinished by Bow Hospital and he added skins.
May be a silly question.....but gonna ask anyway.

Do I need to condition the skins for any reason?  If so how often and with what?

Thanks

I would say it depends on what type of finish he put on it.

Larry, the skins have Krystal sprayed over them so any conditioner will not get to the skins anyway. Hope your not having trouble with them.

Thanks John.  No issues....just wondering.  That's what I figured but wanted to make sure.

In the off season, give it a coat of Butcher's wax, the turpentine smell goes away fairly quick and it really helps the finish on the limbs stay intact. It does not shine the skins. Just be sure to wipe on and off in the direction of the scales so as not to lift them.
