I'm researching boots for next year to hunt in. I hunt in an area that has a lot of wet spots so a rubber boot is necessary. WE do have some cold weather here at times.
Have any of you fellas used the Xtratuff rubber boots for hnting? It can get down in the teens and 20's at times so I'm looking for an insulated rubber boot that is fairly thick [for snake protection]  but will be warm in the cold weather.
I would prefer at least a 16 inch boot. The Xtratuff seem to have good reviews.
Thanks for any help

Its about all you ever see here in Alaska.  I wear them al seasons even with snowshoes.  Comfy, better grips than brand x and y.  Never seen them anywhere BUT Alaska except on Mike Rowe from Dirtiest Jobs.

I was a commercial salmon fisherman for a while after college, out of Kodiak, AK.  Extratuffs are great, but make sure they fit right.  They will cripple you otherwise, but if properly fitted are fantastic for wet terrain.

Heard they are made in China now. Not as good as they used to be.

I wonder if there are any boots still made in the USA?
