Great thread! The primitive side is calling me. I have cut some wood, much of it was to twisty for staves when split. I plan to cut an iron wood when the sap is flowing this spring. This past Jan/Feb I cut 6 dozen shoots that look to be some kind of red oiser or silky dogwood. They are bundled and drying/ seasoning in the garage rafters. I need to stop reading about it and go out to the garage and scrape some wood until it bends, and learn a little a long the way.
