Did he break for a commercial?

Killdeer

Awww, he was excited, posted the first pic that came out right, scrawled a line and posted it. I am sure that he is keeping the Photobucket lines humming and the copy-boy running, and we will see the polished-up final edition soon.

Or else...

I've taken two deer still hunting with a longbow when I lived in Georgia..Ft.Stewart. These plains deer seem alot harder even though this property hasn't been hunted legally for many years. I get out in the morning while the kids are at school. Not much time before I have to pick up my youngest from preschool before noon. Thursday was perfect weather,no wind, which is rare here. Started hunting about 9:15. Moved down through a cottonwood and willow draw, sounded like I was walking on potato chips due to the dry conditions.

This draw is where the mule deer usually hangout. The whitetails seem to prefer the next draw to the north in chinaberries and salt cedar. There is also a large flock of Rio Grande turkeys that roost in the cottonwoods. This draw has some old earthen dams, no water is retained however. It's all over grown with hackberries and mesquite. Hard place to move about, muchless with any kind of stealth. I practice the "Asbell step", tiring but it works...SLOW..like my typing.
