The young ones do have a way of cutting through the adult nonsense, don't they?

Welcome and enjoy those curious years. There may be a future hunting partner there.

Welcome!  Sounds like you have a heck of life coach there. I would follow her advice.  Enjoy the trad journey!  Oh,and when you 62 year olds figure out what to be when you grow up, send some wisdom to this 52 year old.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Great intro, also 62 here and haven't decided what growing up is all about. Welcome from the Valley.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Welcome---in my case it is not a case of when I grow up --------It is more of---IF--I am ever going to grow up. This almost 72 year old doesn't
want to grow up. Too much fun.

Thanks to all for a warm welcome and a place at the fire. Being on the site is like visiting with old friends that you have something interestingly in common with--it's a good book you can't put down, with a desire to reread it over and over.

Yes, I'm bringing all the grandkids along. I'm excited that they are all interested in shooting. Works in great with our bush crafting. I may have misjudged my retirement date; looks like a lot of bows to buy!   :D

Also born in 1952.

Get yourself a birth year bow. Some '52 Bear Kodiaks are still shooters, and this is what the 62 year-old design can do:

Only one problem. My 62 year-old vertebrae creak more than the bow!
