I picked up a used Checkmate with the specs that aren't readable.

I can make out 65# and a serial number that may read C.M.12__5.  

The bow is 62", and unlike the Checkmate TD Hunter I had the limbs are attached with two bolts per limb instead of 1.

Hey Dave,you got yourself an older Chek-Mate from the late seventies to mid eightys.I use to live in Abbotsford BC and new Dorothy and Larry well.They built great bows.I owned many of those.They attached like a Robertson with no recessing in the riser with the two bolts.Later they recessed the limbs into the riser with the one bolt.they were good shooters.

Yep, no recess.  The little I shot it yesterday, it shot well with nice cast, and it is a beauty.  The detail in the riser shows some real skill.

Is it FF capable?  Brace height?

Dave I'm wondering if its my old bow.is it 40# @28" Brazilian Rosewood riser, white glass,and rosewood and white and black glass tips..If its got glass laminates on the tips its OK for FF.I sold it with a red ,tan and black string.If this is the bow she is a beauty.
I can't quite remember but brace height should be around 7-1/2 to 7-7/8" .Hope this helps.

I don't think it is your bow.  It is much heavier than 40#, and I think the riser wood is too light to be rosewood.

Dave I had another 62"er it has an arrowhead glued to the riser I believe it was 67# Man she was a beauty.

I wish I could post pictures.  The riser is a beauty, and whoever had the bow was quite an artist.  I've never seen a side plate like it.
