Hello all,

Looking for opinions from folks that have used this blind.  I mainly want to use it for spring turkey.

I haven't seen one in person yet, so I'm concerned that the bottom of the windows might be too high.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Paul

When I worked at Cabela's, I thought the XXL was the best non-custom blind for traditional bowhunters. Obviously, everyone is different in size and shape. For me, most chairs are way too low. And I like longer bows vs shorter. So a guy with a 58" recurve will have different needs than the guy with the 66"-70" bow.

Off the top of my head, I don't recall any issue with window height on the XXL. Contact Primos and they'll give you the exact info you're looking for.

Thanks Mojo.
The reason I'm interested in The Club XXL is that its supposed to have fabric that doesn't shine. I've been told by Joebuck that thats critical for hard-hunted eastern birds.

Its also 78" tall, which should let me shoot my 64" recurve without problems.

I had an XXL club. It was very good except in medium and high winds. The windows aren't zippered and vibrated like a train coming thru. The windows are big enough to flop also. I used it antelope hunting only so it was windy all the time. The camo pattern was perfect for the Wyoming sage, no shine. I would have kept it for turkey hunting but I have 2 others I use, a predators den(shoot short bows 58" and under) and a Yukon that's 80". Most of the time I use the Yukon and shoot 62" recurve. The antelope I got last year was out of a Barronet Big Mike that you can stand and shoot out of. The big mikes a little shiney but didn't bother antelope. You need a tall chair for the Yukon and Big Mike. If it's not going to be to windy I wouldn't hesitate to get the XXL.

Wind won't be a problem here in Mississippi.  But shiny fabric might be.  Glad to hear you say it doesn't shine.

Did you have any problem with the window height?

I own one and love it. I bought it originally too for turkey's but now use it for hogs and deer as well. I don't have a problem with the window height but if you are trying to sit on a really low stool you may. Such as 5 gal bucket height.  I cant the bow a fare amount  so the bow length doesn't seem to matter much, but I have shot up to a 62" bow out of it and could do so fairly vertically if I wanted to.  It is a very durable blind also and really like the fact that half the windows don't have zippers and use a single elastic strap. It makes for quite opening. Especially since here in SC I don't have to deal with heavy wind the majority of the time.

I would  recommend it to anyone, but in my opinion was designed for the trad hunter!

I called Primos customer service and he said window height should not be an issue if using a DB stool which is 17" high.

From the photos I've seen, the windows still look kinda high.

Would still like to hear from others that have used this blind!

I killed a doe out of one this year, window is fine for me. (Think mine is the xxl, but could be the XL.)

jkm97

Planning on using mine for MS turkeys this spring too.

Tall Paul

Thanks jkm97.  With all the good reviews, I think I'll try one.

My son and I both hunt out of one at the same time. You'll like it.
