I'm considering buying a newer bear takedown the bubinga riser, wich one do you guys prefer a or b, wich limb combo as we'll? I have a 26" draw so you know and I would like to keep it at 60" or shorter. I heard somewhere that with a shorter draw length to go with the A riser is that true, what do you bear takedown guys think. Thanks for your help

a 60 inch bow with 26" draw is fine..you get that with a B riser and #1 limbs (shortest limbs ) the A riser willl give you a 56" bow It would be  quicker ...I beleive that accuracy is the most important aspect....a 60" bow is generally more forgiving than a 56" bow...all things being the same otherwise....

imho A or B riser is fine with #1 limbs...the choice is personal preference after that.

I shoot a B riser with 26" draw and #1 limbs at 60# at 28" so about 54# at 26 " ....bow has alot of power still...would not hesitate to hunt anything with it...the A riser will give you about 6 more pounds with the same limb

There is actually only two pounds different when changing limbs from A to B.
With an A and #1 = 56" limb is not a short bow for someone with a 26" draw. You will find that it shoots well for you and so will the B riser with the same limbs.
The 56" bow will also give you more maneuverability.

I prefer my 60" recurve to my 62" and I have a 31"+ draw.
Opinions will vary.

I have several.... A risers with #3 limbs that make up a 60" bow as well as B risers with #1 limbs that also make a 60" bow. I shoot both combinations well and some days I feel I like the A combination better, some days the B better.  I draw 29".  If I drew 26" like you I would opt for the A riser.  That will give you the option of a 56", 58" or 60" bow depending on what limb you use.

I prefer the A riser much more than the B. The A riser allows you to go as short as 56" or as long as 60". The B riser has a longer sight window and more mass overall.

When I compared an A riser with #3 limbs (60") to a B riser with #1 limbs (60"), the A riser set up felt smoother to me which may be due to the longer working limbs.

Here's another question. Say you set up two bows, both 50#. One is with an A riser and #3 limbs, the other a B riser with #1 limbs. Both bows are 60". Will one be faster than the other?

I believe the B riser will be quicker with the shorter length of limbs  ...the A riser with longer overall length will pull more smooth....but at 26" draw that will not be an issue as you will not be at a length where you might start to feel any stacking...

if you have a longer draw then you would have to make a choice which you want most.... speed or feel....this is my humble opinion...
