I am in NC. Anybody close by have one I could shoot? I have heard nothing but good things about these bows, but I would like to shoot one before I drop the $$$.

Send a PM to James Wren (an NC member). He has one but that's not the point - he knows the guy who was at Sissipaha's last shoot that brought his to him, and usually carries two or three of them around (he's just helping the Bowyer get them introduced around here). I (of course    ) cannot remember his name, nor how to get up with him. I'm sure James knows him from before.

What part of NC?  I live in Ga but have family in Robbinsville, which is western NC.  Got a 45 pounder and ordering another one!
It's not the arrival, it's the journey.

Normally James would see this and come on - but during Deer season, you'll probably need to stir him up with a PM or e-mail (check his bio or click on his avatar in some of the "trad event" forum threads to get that info). He's up in your area and a fine chap. He loves his "turkey".

LOL at Sky's "flock of turkeys ... " remark

Sorry I have not seen this.Sure you can shoot my bow if we can get together.I would not be able to untill Sunday because if this rain stops I am hunting tommorrow.Be warned however mine is probably the best bow Doug ever built. No way the rest can shoot as good as this little bow does so don't get you hopes up.  ;)

Slayer1 even if you couldn't shoot one of Doug's bows and you bought one. You wouldn't be disappointed! You'll see.

Bernie who are you calling a nut-case!   :D  Have you killed a bunch of deer yet? My season has really sucked so far.I shot one little buck early with the TC and buggered up a big hog.Have not been able to hunt since because I can't pull the dand bows back with out yelling.  :(  Going with the other kind of bow this weekend if I hunt.

Oh, you know, James, it takes one to recognize one -   ;)  . Naw, it's my worst season in the last three (so far). Only seen 5 deer (all in that one, cooler week), only had one shot op, and shot under her - so close the feathers hit her underside and made her explode upwards like a tin can with a chery bomb under it. It was funny as all get out 'till I got down and saw that when she came down and danced around to tear out of there, she broke my beautiful Cane arrow off about four inches above the broadhead.(it's repaired now). I get out most every other day, for a little while at least, but I sure hate not seeing  any  - I live for that, and consider it a special hunt anytime I do see 'em. Sorry to hear your hurting - better luck ahead to both of us, buddy.
