It was mine but it is in the mail to Wayne..This bow shoots and looks better than any Widow I saw and shot at Kalamazoo last year. With the custom string it really zips an arrow and it is QUIET

Jerry... Good doing business with you. Hope and pray your surgery goes well.

Darren: I'm back in the BW category! I have to admit, I couldn't stop thinking about the elk overlay! Hope to stick one with this bow come late August/September.

Thanks all for your positive comments.

Here are my custom antler burr limb bolts. Note the tiny arrowhead. I found this arrowhead 50 years ago as my brother and I searched a newly plowed corn field on Blennerhasset Island. I thought it was a chipped off point, but my brother showed me where it was chipped and worked all the way around it. He called it "birdshot".

It is a completed, very small arrowhead. I'm embedding it in the top antler burr bolt as shown in the picture.

Any suggestions as to how to attached it?

Thanks!

That is a very cool arrowhead, nice work on the bolts. you may try a two part clear epoxy, but that is just a guess.

Nice Burrs Wayne 2 part epoxy should hold it.  Widow

O ya I knew you could not stay away from widows for too long! I know you said if you do everything perfect you could shoot your new to you longbow good but it is nice shooting a bow that is forgiving and you can shoot good even when you don't do everything perfect. Let us know how it shoots.    Widow

If I were inletting a stone point into a knife scale, I'd clamp it in place and scribe around it with a very sharp, small scriber (or a needle). Then just remove the background inside your scribed line with a dremel tool or by scraping. The center of that burr should cut/scrape pretty easily - it's generally much softer than the outer layers. Once I had the point set down into the burr far enough, I'd use any good clear epoxy rather than super glue to hold it in.

Sorry. I didn't notice you already had the inletting done. I'd prefer the eqpoxy over super glue because of the additional support it would give the edges.

Thanks for the advice. I think I might try my hand at scrimshawing. I would like to put my late brothers initials, the date he killed the buck (the burrs are from) in the lower bolt burr.

I'll practice on some other antler material first.

Darren: I will pick the bow up tomorrow as it arrived at our post office after closing yesterday. I'll let you know how it shoots and what I think of the Asbell grip.

Again... thanks for everyone's comments and advice.
