Just made a deal with my son this morning.  He'll be a freshmen next year and school has always been something he has to work at.  So we made a deal, B's or higher all 4 years and a graduation.  For his graduation present he get's our first guided Colorado bowhunt for elk.  I better start saving...

I just graduated college and got all B's and higher can I go too?    :goldtooth:

That will be awesome for you and your son to go on after he graduates, man all I got for graduation was a cheap dell that constantly gets viruses lol.

Best of luck to you both on the elk hunt!

Obviously, you know that you are not in a "pickle", you're in a dream!

My son and I have been bow hunting together since he was 12.(he's 40 and he does all the heavy lifting now!)  I never regretted a minute spent scouting or hunting with him.  His sons have recently begun rifle hunting with some success and we've had a couple of 3 generation bowhunts(which was one of my dreams!).  My granddaughter on the other side just hunted for the first time this last fall and I gave her a deer rifle for Christmas.  Every one of the family shoots a bow and I am confident most will try bowhunting when they can.  I wish you the same joy.

Lived in Colorado for 12 years.  It is heaven for a bow hunter. Savor the experience.

Having graduated from college and taught at the University level, give him a little break.  Let him take 5 years if he needs to.  ;-)

What a great carrot! Sounds like a triple crown!
Son gets good grades, you get to hunt elk, and you get to do it with your son!

Can't see a down side except the check writing.

Yeah, I think I'm going to have to put my money where my mouth is on this one.  He's already looking for outfitters...

Haha thats awesome    :D  like others have said before, i dont see a down side to that...ive always enjoyed hunting/fishing with my dad. even though he's still alive, his job moved him across the country and we dont get that opportunity any more. I miss him every hunting season. Congrats on the good deal and enjoy the time with your son.
