Anyone aware of any bowyer who will install a bow bolt takedown on a finished bow from a different bowyer?  Not concerned about warranty.

Thanks,

There was some posting about this awhile back.  Seems to be the popular theory that it is best not to be installed on an existing bow.  Especially if the riser wasn't designed for it.  Has to be enough material (of the correct kind) to withstand the stress.  Too much chance for failure.

I have a bow with a phenolic riser that could handle a bow bolt but when I asked the bowyer if he could install one he said he prefers not to do so if not initially done in the build process.  Apparently it's more cumbersome after the fact.

This isn't a bow bolt, but depending on the type of bow you have it might work. I checked with them on one of my bows, but my bow was not one he could work with.

Hope this helps.

Unfortunately forward handle longbows cannot be converted.
