Washing a arrowmaster? And arrow shield?

Mr. fingers

I'm getting a arrow master for XMas. I have 1 week left to hunt.
And would like to use my new toy. Did you feel the need to wash to new smell off when you got yours and if you did how did you do it?
How many of you use the arrow shield? I was out yesterday using my cat quiver vi.5 and the BHs got full of snow just from brushing against the trees. I'm wondering how many of you use one?
Thanks
Tim

I've never heard of anyone washing their Arrowmaster.

Don't know why you'd want to wash it, I never have.  I use the cover when there is a chance my fletching will get wet.  Used it every day in Newfoundland but only rarely in Wisconsin and almost never in Colorado.

I guess I have not either but when you buy something new weather it be boots  jacket pants or hats. I always wash the new smell off. I'm just wondering if the arrowmaster being its made of material it may have a new smell?

I was questioning about the arrow shield that covers the side opening. Not the top cover?
Thanks for responding.

Sorry Tim, my mistake.  My Arrowmaster didn't come with a shield for the side opening.  If I did have one I think the only time I'd have it on would be to keep snow out.  In the past 4-5 years I have had mine I don't think I ever wished I had a shield except when transporting arrows in the quiver, so they don't accidentally fall out, and then I just put a rubber band or two around that section of the quiver.

Don't have the shield, but I hunt in snow a lot, and haven't had a problem.
Don't wash the mojo out of your new quiver; that could be a big mistake!

If you feel the need to remove any scent you feel may be on it, just spray it with some scent shield or similar product.

Is the arrow shield an option?  Maybe I'm overlooking it on the Safarituff site?

Mine came used, complete with Blood of a Critter Killed by Chris Surtees.  I will never wash it.

Mack it is an add on for some reason it's not on the safari tuff site which baffles me. 3rivers carries it.

0 chance of rain here. -28 this x-Mas eve. Morning may be il hit it with scent killer let it dry then hit the woods and let the bitter cold air freshen it.
Of coarse sat its supposed to snow and warm up to 20 so ill give it the test whether I need the arrow shield for snow.
Merry x Mas everyone

Tim, you will enjoy you new Arrowmaster and in reality you will stink worse than it will. Don't overthink it, it's only hunting.
