I met this beauty the other day and fell in love at "first arrow".  Just love the way the cast of the arrow is off this bow.  It is 55#@28" and really throws an arrow. But more importantly to me is that if you do your part the bow will come through and send the arrow right on line. Nice even draw force and you can hold the bow on target after the shot with very little effort.
Allen used yew for limb veneers and ebony in the riser. Being an Oregon guy the yew is so appealing to me. It's warm tone is so easy on the eye. Allen's finish on this bow is a low luster satin sheen. He trapped the limbs and I am surprised at how narrow they are. I'm sure these are reasons for it's performance.

I bought a very nice contender a while back 64" 53@28" It may be the best shooting bow I have ever owned.

Liberty is a hard one to go wrong with. My next built bow will probably be a contender.

Wasn't really looking for a LB. I have one of Allen's "Edge" bows and am really pleased with it. Then I just had to shoot this Classic Elite.....    :knothead:

I've got a 68" all yew in the limbs just like yours. Mine's 55#@28" too. What's the length and core wood in your limbs ?

leatherneck

Hmmmm......that bow looks real familiar.

Not to be confused with Gary Sentman's Elite / Classic.  LOL.  Also a very fine bow.

Snag, have you ever shot Allen's English?  That's what I've shot exclusively  for the past 6 years.  Really like the looks of the Classic and wonder how it compares performance wise to the English.  Appreciate anything you could share.  Thanks!

I also have a classic, my contender is a little softer in the hand the classic has a little more thump both are great shooting bows. The contender is very mild R/D the classic is straight.

WarDancer

I meant to say English not classic, just old age creeping in, maybe running in.

Beautiful bow . Congrats....Allen's bows are so easy to shoot. I had a English that I wish I hadn't got rid of. All his bows are great shooters.
