just wondering how those of you who use a ground blind in the winter secure it to the ground when the ground is frozen???

I stake it before it freezes.    :knothead:

I would try a battery drill with a cement bit to make holes to set stakes.

Justin if your in timber just drag some larger branches next to your blind and tie off to them. You can kick snow on them and if its as cold as here it will freeze up and you have the perfect snow anchor. Also can set up near a couple trees and tie off to them also.

If it's that cold try water.

Take some old carpet squares, lay them over your stakes and pour water on top.

If you're talkin' pop-up blind, why would you need to anchor it unless the wind's blowing? I don't anchor mine unless there's wind. Also, I don't leave mine out for more than one night either. Most times I take it out of the woods the same day I'm hunting with it. They just don't last near as long when you leave them in the outdoors for very long.

Trap stakes work great if you cant tie off to close trees. if using rebar go with 3/8" 12 or 18" long with the nut on the end (dont get the t bar ones that are made for water as they cant take the beating).
