Quick question on nocks.

When should a person use which nock:  traditional, classic or snap?

Thanks for the replies!

It truly depends on your choice. Some nocks have straight grooves which allow smoother release but fall off easily. Some snap nocks hold too tightly for a clean release. Controlling your string thickness helps with both.

Totally your choice.

Almost have to have a snap on nock, at least a nock tight enough to grip the string,  if you shoot three under because your fingers aren't holding the nock on the string.  Other than that, it makes no difference.  Whatever appeals to you.

I prefer Snap Nocks, and agree with Orion.

I prefer Mercury "Speed" nocks - which demonstrate that in spite of what folks say arrow speed has been a concern for 50 years or better.  ;-)

Bjorn are good, but I open up the nock with a file so they just hold the arrow without the snap-on force.

I prefer nocks with a shallow throat. Ideally, they sit snug but do not pinch too tightly on the string.

I prefer selfnocks or nirk nocks. Try a few different styles and see what you like

I like the Bohning Classic nocks with string made to fit.

I also like Mercury Speed nocks. I like to get a perfect fit on the serving.
