Out prowling around in my Ghillie and had this guy come bopping up. Had an arrow tipped with a steel blunt nocked on my little Kbx because I had just seen a rabbit. Had to shoot him with the blunt since he ran up on me so fast. Must be lethal at 10 yards as it killed him like the wrath of God! Very hard to draw on these guys, been busted by many others trying. He stopped with his head behind some low weeds, a quick swing draw and viola, my first success on a fox after many failures!

Beautiful animal.  Congrats.  Getting him mounted?

Have to mount him, been trying to kill one of these darn things with stick and string for 30 years! Don't know what I'm happier about, the big 8 point or this little rascal!

Congrats SS, a huge accomplishment.

Can you show us how you trimmed out your bow arm?

They are tough with stick and string, nice one!

Nice! I was lucky to get one with my recurve last year and having it mounted. I don't think I'd shoot another one. They are really beautiful. Congrats

Did not trim it out. It's not in the pic because I just threw the ghillie back on for the photo, but I stole a panty hose from my wife and made a "sleeve" out of it that compresses the ghillie. Shhhhhh, don't tell my wife!

That sir, is an outstanding idea! I just happen to have a very rare smoke phase fox squirrel in the freezer killed earlier this year.

We got a couple one winter night when I was in high school, 60s.  Bright full moon lots of snow, no wind, what else to do? We went fox calling. Red fox fur was worth a lot of money at the time, we sold them.

That's a great trophy! Haven't seen many on here come to think of it.
The ghillie suit looks awesome too, is it home made or branded?
