Hey gang,

I'm wanting to put together some arrows with "aged osage" colored feathers. Sort of a golden honey color.

I have some trueflight yellow..and they are just that YELLOW.

I see AMG has "gold" feathers and bearpaws yellow feather looks pretty golden in some internet pics.

Any of you have experience with either color and could help me out choosing?

Thank you

No experience but I bet a onestringer wrap would dress em up beautifully!

Check the Gateway color Desert Brown and see if that's close to what you're looking for.

Try Sagittarius Archery, I just bought some golden feathers. Very nice. $30.00 for 100 full length.

AMG's gold isn't really gold, isn't really yellow either which is why we call it "Sungold Yellow".  Its between the two but tends more toward yellow IMO.

If you want PM me your address and I'll send you a sample.

Trueflight's "Autumn Brown" would look close to an aged osage color.

I contacted a few of our great sponsors here and a couple manufactures. Some of which were nice enough to send me a few samples for me to test colors.

To those that helped me out  THANK YOU!

I found that trueflight yellow and bearpaw yellow are about identical.

The amg sungold is slightly more golden..actually a very pretty color. And would do a fine job of matching "fresh" osage.

The gateway desert brown and the truflight autumn brown were very close in color. The trueflight had a little more "iridescence" to the feather while the gateway looked more "flat".
Both are slightly more orangish brown than the osage ...but it's a pretty close match.

I liked the look of the trueflight more than the gateway.

I'll be going with the trueflight mostly because the bases are thinner and ground more true than the gateway in my very little experience.

Just thought I'd pass along what I've learned.
