I cant stand still but when I do, I try to lean against a tree or something.

Sitting for me. Low profile and if they see you they don't freak out as bad when you are seated as when standing.

Sit 30 min, stand 30 min. Sit 30, stand 30.  Stand 60 at the golden hour. I am much more confident in my ability to get a shot made while standing.

I sit whether in a tree stand or on the ground.

When I'm in a blind or hide I am usually sitting on something stool, rock, log, etc.. It is nice when a blind has enough room to have to be able to stand for 15 and stretch. I like to still hunt a lot and have killed several deer and elk standing "making like a tree" caught in the open.

I built some stools out of 1 in square tubing, weld a flat piece with holes drilled in it to screw into padded seat made from plywood, foam, and vinyl.  light weight, it is one legged and has a sharpened piece of 5/16 round bar and big washer on bottom side. you can stick it in ground next to tree and set comfortably. I have bum leg and usually try and set, not quite standing. I tie an old nylon tie down to it for a sling and pack it with me. I have given away all of the ones I had but am going to fab a new one as soon as I get wire for my welder. I will post pics.
