Ah, the photos and stories were worth the wait!  Beautiful country.

Thanks for sharing Mickey, now that I know you like pictures of mushrooms I will have to go take a picture of one I saw yesterday growing out of the side of an old tree. it started out horizontal to the ground and then made a 90 degree turn heading toward the sunlight.

Jeff, about another week or two and the bucks should be all over the farm looking for love

shrooms are misunderstood..unlike flowers that get all the oohs and ahhs, shrooms come in a huge variety of shapes, sizes and colors and hardly anyone appreciates them (cept the Morels which are about the ugliest shrooms there are and have some naasty nick names thanks to their general shape)

Love to see that one Wood Butcher

hey mic

I new you were a rcky-mtn recurve fan, whats the specs?

I picked one up this summer from don jones, I bet I've been looking for one for close to 20 yrs. than just after I bought it I put it back up for sale because I really didn't have money to buy it. as it turns out it didn't sell and I'm going to build some lighter limbs for it so my son can hunt with it next year (his first hunting season)

by the way thanks for the hunt-along!!

Brian the Rocky Mt's liimbs are built differently with the wedge being "upside down" compared to most bowyers limbs.I think my brother still has his form for duplicating them.

That one is Dianne's 40 something pounds. Mines 57#  and I had a set of 62# limbs for mine but gave them to Dean Torges buddy Lew when his original limb broke.

I also have a couple that my brother and I made which are duplicates of the original which as you know are no longer being made.

I remembered you had bought JD's (Can't believe HE sold it) and then put it up for sale. Wonderful bows.

Wow! Great pics, Ferret. I am glad you had a good time. Almost as good a time as I had this weekend.  :)  Jawge

Was out for a walk last night and found the shroom for you Mickey.

I also love the pictures of your dog Sage out in the woods. I had to to let my dog Tucker in on the act, as he went with me to get the picture of the shroom.

Enjoy,   Glenn

Ahh cool pic Glen. Thanks.

Is that a Weimeriemer (sp). Pretty dog. I take it hes a good grouse dog? That's the kind of coat a dog needs for up there. Holy crap I'm still picking those nasty ticks off my dog. I must have found 25 so far. They start out about the size of a pin head and end up as big as your baby finger nail. Nasty! Why on earth would God invent ticks?

Yeah we is a weimaraner, been with me the last 11 years. He has retrieved pheasants, doves and geese but here in north central IL. we don't have any grouse to chase. Here lately he has become a "  sitter pointer" type dog, sits in the living room and points to the kitchen. My wife says he is getting that from me.

Micky, great pic of you and Dianne. Kinda reminds me of me and my better half when we get all dressed up.
