Went and ask the dog if it would be good this after noon .He said your going to have to work hard for one. Second stand I find this on the way in.

That's a scratch that a dominant male will do telling the others that's he's the top dog and its his place. Get all settled in and start with some a couple of dog death screams and right away a big guy runs in and out too fast to get a shot. Nothing more on the next few stands. Last stand its that pump by the little ditch. sun is getting low. Do a couple of dog death screams and within five minutes or so one trots past me from behind.
It stops to smell the decoy ,rag with rabbit stuff on it. I raise up and let the arrow go. It hits home ,the coyote takes a couple of steps . Looks wobbly but not going down. Take another shot and it drops. Watch it for a bit ,Get up and walk to the truck for the camera.
Stand to coyote maybe seven yards.

You can hop but you can't hide.
If it was not for rabbits I would never get a buck.

Big older female. Maybe five to six years? had some ware on her canines but in real good shape and great looking coat. Bow scaled said 37 pounds.

My brothers insance of rabbit been working good for me stops them dead in their tracks.
Finding that scratch is like finding a big scrape on a tree. Coyotes are going to be hunting for girl friends big time. Coyote rut.

If you ever make it to Ohio look me up. Bring lots of arrows and sports cream for your shoulder and elbow. You will be doing a lot of shooting. We have more than our share out here. I cant seem to kill one with a bow.

Manitoba Stickflinger

You do better with a stick than most with guns...awesome!

Tsalt

You just keep thump 'em them!  Nice shooting as always!

I'd love to know some of your tips/tricks... like call sequences, decoy set ups, and scents.

Can you explain the dog death scream? I do a little with my foxpro, but that's all.
