I'm about to order some Aspell wool as a Christmas present to me from my wife  ;) ...
can't decide on:

Timber Ghost, Silent Stalker, or Evening Stand Brown?

I hunt primarily open hardwoods and creekbottom thickets in he northeast.   which pattern do you think works best???

I just got an ESB from Roger Norris and really like it. He has great service too. ESB would be hard to beat for that mix.

I have one of each of those patterns. I thought that Evening Stand Brown worked best in the fall until I got Timber Ghost. I use Silent Stalker in the spring, and since it is lighter weight, I use it in September elk season. There isn't a bad choice to be made with any of the named patterns.

ESG is real nice in greener areas or pine/oaks.  I like it cause it has slightly different barring than the ESB.  Imagine you couldn't go wrong with ESB or others.  I just sold my ESG to switch to Cedar Swamp Plaid and I love it!  Florida is very green and the CSP just melts right into the cypress and oak swamps.

I am in the northeast and evening stand brown seems to blend in an unreal amount wherever I go. Early season up through to snowy environments. I absolutely love that jacket.

I just ordered a timber ghost pullover. I think it should work quiet nicely here in Kansas, in the cottonwood river bottoms and deep timber.

Timber ghost has been great, now Ihave to choose my next color.

I just ordered Timber Ghost.  I also ordered the sherpa windblocker vest.   I've lost 20+ pounds since August, and this fall I'm having a hell of a time staying warm on stand...especially in the wind.

wearing Smartwool longjohns, stretch fleece mids, and wool outters and still shivering....Aside from 2 days this fall I don't think the wind has dropped below 10mph which I think is higher than normal on top of below avg temps.

Good choice Hickstick. I use Timber Ghost and Evening Stand Brown more than anything else.

Groovy, Man, really groovy! But, I'm not a hippie. I will stick with more conventional looking stuff.

This thread has been super helpful       Just ordered a zip up ESB jacket.  My first piece of wool hunting attire!  I'm stoked!
