As mentioned in my other thread   http://tradgang.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=051631
My primary bow is out of commissin for a while.  Well after the "the incident" I grabbed my back-up bow, an 86# @ 29.5" Jeffery royal recurve (that I haven't shot at anything but a carp in 2 years),  took the AMS retriever reel off of it, and shot it at the bale a couple times. Hitting low, ok, consciously adjust for it,  hitting dead nuts.  After I finally got in the woods I had THE BIGGEST DOE I've ever seen broadside at 15 yards. Remember that conscious elevation adjustment I made on the bale,  well, for me at least, conscious adjustments don't happen when I'm looking at a critter that I want to eat. so my arrow went right under her.  She didn't move, just turned her head straight away from me,  giving me a chance to nock another arrow and shoot under her again   :banghead:   . She's still standing in the same spot.  I gave up at this point and stood up and said "YOU WIN!!! get the **** out of here!!!) My Jeffery is not a bad bow.  I won many local 3-D shoots, and placed 3rd in the OBA with this bow before I got my Morrison.  I just hadn't shot it for a LONG TIME with anything but a fiberglass fish arrow. If you ever have to hunt with your back_up you will wish you would have shot it more
