Another arrow holder thread(How TO)

Thought I'd throw this homemade holder in the mix
after I found a source for material.
Mods move to How to forum if needed.
I made mine out of a 3/4"W by 4"L THICK rubber band found at a garage sale.It will make 2 holders
if you cut it into 2 equal pieces.
I took one piece and rounded the corners just for asthetics.On one end,I took a short piece of scrap aluminum shaft (one size smaller than my hunting shafts) and with a hammer punched a hole about 2 shaft widths in.
Then take scissors or knife and open the hole towards the end.That holds the arrow for you.
I attached the other end to my riser with velcro after inserting my arrow and getting the velcro positoned properly.It would also work great with another hole around a berger button.How you attach it depends on you.
I debated about submitting this til now because I hav not seen any other rubber bands like these except at our Tr...Supply in equine section but they were LONG and $19 to boot.
BUT,stumbling around in a catch-all drawer the other day,I found out I wasn't using a rubber band..I was using a vacum cleaner belt which cost much less and available nearly anywhere..
I wouldn't suggest the one on the wife's vac unless you have a back up.
Works great..silent..cheap..
Sorry I have no camera but it looks like all the rubber armed ones.

Think he's talking about a holder for a nocked arrow. Like an "Arrow Jack".

Hey Mudd, I'm getting some leather scraps together to make a few of those arrow holders but am not sure how to do the lower shaft holder. Can't quite make yours out in the pics. How'd you do yours?

I used one of those rubber finger separators that I had taken out of a tab.

I heated an old aluminum shaft and burned/melted through where the arrow would rest/be held,then cut away the rubber so the arrow could slide in.

The back side has two rubber wings that held it in the tab, I burned a hole in each wing to run my leather thong through.

Worked better than I had hoped.

1/2 of a Selway PiggyBacker with a hole drilled through it for a lace and a leather broadhead sheath. I have these on several of my bows. Good for stalking (with another quiver for extra arrows - like if you want to loan one to a less efficient bowhunter) or as fast follow up shot should it be needed, or possible, from a stand.

I'm "burning holes" like you in many things..like ethafoam to store my arrows proper..at least the pretty ones.
That smoke can't be great for the lungs,I'm betting.
