I am thankful for the man or woman who stands on that rocky hillside many hundreds of miles from home. He longs for the feel of a longbow or recurve in his hands and a tree stand in a woodlot but instead he holds a weapon of war in a place he does not want to be. He wants to be home today with his family more than anything but instead he is on guard for you and me. Today I am most thankful for the rock, ditch, sandbag or distance that provides him cover from harm.

God bless and protect the American soldier, wherever you are.

Amen! My brother Maj Walters is there in The desert, waiting to come home and all his SF buddies are short timing it with him. Missing him today and ready for him to get home so we can shoot, hunt and share three fingers of good whiskey, as is our custom when he's been away
