Okay folks,
Thanks to all who participated in the Platform poll. Here is round two.
Species: Whitetail deer
What time of day have you most frequently filled a tag USING TRADITIONAL ARCHERY GEAR.

You may choose one.
Noli rogare pro onia pauciora, rogate pro scapulas latiores.

Depends on where I'm hunting. One spot between sun rise and 8. Another spot between 8 and 3, and another spot 3 to dark

I once read in a Missouri Dept. of Conservation magazine that the MO deer harvest was usually split about 50/50 between morning and afternoon kills. It will intersting to see if your poll comes close.

Nov AM

mostly we stick to pm hunts only before Nov 1 and am only after nov 1st. Some exceptions.

Hunted Decembers years back and we filled tags am & pm but in both cases closer to dark.

Hunted Jan AL once and similar to Dec had decent movement both - both closer to dark - both not as good as Oct or Nov

I kinda skew the results.  I typically hunt the evening stand only, except for when I am "on a hunt weekend" with the bud's.

Call me lazy, that's OK.  I am not a morning person.  Plus I can get chores done in the early part of the day and still be allowed to hunt almost every day then.  I find it easier to sit 4-6 hours at the end of each day, days in a row, than to try dark to dark sits for more than a few days.

I selected the Dawn to 10am. About 90% of my hunts are AM hunts though.

I voted the morning, because I hunt more mornings. I would like to know if everyone is voting when they hunt most. I Have filled tags in all three choices. I almost never hunt Sunday evening, always work Monday. I believe you will hunt most what you like most. Results is you will kill the times most hunted.  Just my thought.

Remember guys, this isn't what time you hunt, but rather what time of day you have ACTUALLY filled a tag.

Thanks for the responses and voting.

I've only killed three, two in AM, one in PM. Of the rest that I missed, all were in the AM.

I have taken 3 november white tail bucks and 3 white tail does in Kansas between 11:00 and noon. In fact, I mostly could have slept in until 9: all three of those years.

I think it depends on your location and deer movement in your area. I hunt about equal AM/PM. I have shot 18 AM deer vs. 2 PM deer. I have wounded/lost 2 deer one AM and one PM. I must say I would rather make a bad shot in the AM.
