A gentleman with a longbow....could be anytime....could be anywhere.  What do you think?

Apex Predator

I looks cold, so it had to be before global warming.  Am I right, and what do I win?

Seriously, I really don't see anything in the photo that could be used to date it.  Maybe a close up of his boots?
I didn't claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat vegetables!

Tom Mussatto

I'd guess not too old. Adding serpia gives it a 50's look.

I would say sometime in the '40's and in north or northeast. Possibly Michigan or Pennsylvania.

If it is a picture of George I'd say then it is pretty old! LOL!!

Jason R. Wesbrock

Last winter, norhtern Wisconsin, guarding the mother of all bait piles.   :D

San Juan Slim

It doesn't necessarily look old to me.  I can't see the clothes, pack or quiver, or boots too well, but the jeans look like a newer baggier style.  And, the boots look like a newer style leather hiking boot.  The plaid wool(?) shirt and hat are not necessarily old either.  Just my uneducated opinion.

its contemporary..but timeless.

San Juan Slim has got the clue, and I agree

George is that you?  from the looks of the glasses, since they are not the dark frames i would say at least later the 60's. i would guess with the fanny pack (looks like bison gear)that it's more like a photo from the 80's or 90's.  that said i can narrow it down to some where between 1980 & 2007..... probably last year since we have not had any cold weather with snow on the east coast.

"Dad, I need to sit down I'm shaking to bad" my 12 year old son the first time he shot at a deer with his bow.

Okay...you cut me to the quick.  Baggy jeans?  Now that really hurts   "[dntthnk]"

It was December of 1992...not so old, unless you're really young.  That's my lemonwood longbow, Ol' Buck, and October that year we took a whitetail...attached photo below:

You guys are pretty good.

George old buddy, the baggy jeans come into play when the waist to length ratio is skewed...
