I have had a blast since getting addicted to trad last spring. Months of practice has passed and deer season is upon me. It has been very rewarding making
my own bows, arrows, broadheads, and using trad gear to harvest game. I now feel like the complete predator!!! I will cherish these memories forever. Let their souls roam the heavens wild and free! Long Live the beast!!!

I have not had time to practice much with the longbow I built so I grabbed my TT, some woodies, grizzly bh's, and homemade bh's and hit the timber. I got in the stand that is on a finger of timber that separates two corn fields.

The action started to pick up and I was seeing multiple nice bucks on the adjacent timberline. Before I knew it I had a nice doe at 10 yards. I drew back and sent a 160 grain grizzly right into her lungs. She took off like a bat out of hell, while I had to sit down so I would not fall out of stand from excitement. While I sat and prayed for a fast recovery a doe on the small side snuck up and was standing about 20 yards broadside. I let another
arrow go with a 160 grain homemade bh and it hit right behind shoulder quickly sending it to the ground.

Now the work begins filling my freezer and belly before I get my homemade longbow out in the timber.

Awesome!

Congrats on the double, and that riser looks sweet. I hope she shoots as good as she looks.

Awesome..

You got a pic of your homemade broadhead by chance? Always love seeing others creations.

Here you go just a hunter.

The barbed and spear head are just for small game.
