I was wondering if using modern broadheads, un traditional? I am not talking mechanical, but a fixed blade slick trick. I am using a 45lb howard hill style longbow, so I want the sharpest broadhead on the planet, and those slick tricks will cut you just looking at them! three shots in the dirt and it would still shave my arm!! I took two blades off  of a four blade, so I now have a 1 1/4 cut two blade broadhead... Just looking for imput if its frowned upon.

They're no less "traditional" than carbon arrows.  Use what works for you and don't worry about what others think.  That said, my concern with a modular broadhead would be structural integrity when hitting heavy bone.  With practice and patience, you can learn to sharpen pretty much any broadhead "shaving sharp".

I am not a member of the trad police, so I am not going to make that call. However I feel that BHs should get a buy on the whole trad thing. You are shooting at a living creature. So the goal should always be to make your harvest quickly and humanly no matter how you choose to fling your arrow. Use what ever flies good and is going to do the job.  I am sure the game doesnt mind your choice in a sharp BH. Me personally, I would rather bleed out in a few minutes than deal with a stone point lodged inside of me until I die a slow death. Or be left a cripple to the point no doe would look twice at me and I could not effectively rut.
Not trying to start any arguments here, if you can quickly kill something with a stone point, by all means keep doing it.

I see no issue with them.  Use the head that gives you the best cut/penetration and confidence. There's not much difference between a slick trick and any 2/3 blade are far as technology really goes.
