Greetings brothers of the bow, long time no see. It has been too long away from the fire and those that I hold dear here so I am making efforts to rekindle my relationships from here.

Work has been overwhelming, Miss Kim and I have been spending lots of time riding too many horses, as has growing our two boys to men. Connor is now a freshman in high school with all the wonder that accompanies that stage of life. Chase is now in college studying to be a vet. He wants to follow in Tippit's footsteps and be the vet/traveling bowhunter.

We spent some time at Andrew Harper's    Hunt Wild Things  (a sponsor here) weekend before last helping hang 15 stands on Andrew's new 800 acre area that is dedicated to stand hunting for hogs, not to mention the 2,000+ acres for spot/stalking. Chase took a sammich hog while we were putting up a ladder in the swamp. He's all full grown now!

I've been selective recently, meaning, I haven't killed anything lately because I've been wasting my time chasing a dream   :big laugh:

Here is the one I had early on this season on my property that I've been chasing this year....a couple of times close but not quite yet. Don't mind the camera names, I pulled this cam from our family farm in Kentucky to bring down here. This is a good buck for my land in North GA.

Hopefully this video uploads for those with fast internet....A good one to keep a feller in the stand for many hours:

And this fine bear has moved in and frequents the same trail the good buck does....already raided the horse feed barrels in the barn. Thankfully he couldn't get the screw tops off but Miss Kim has given full blessing for another rug on the railing. A real nice one for my elevation. I've not been within bow range but still have a few weeks left yet.

Good to see many of my old bros here and well and Tradgang thriving. I will hopefully have some time to spin a few yarns for those that are interested in hearing a tall tale or two in the near future.

May God richly bless you all.

Man it's good to see you back. I've been gone a couple years myself.

I remember when you had a bow made for your boy and you posted it. I still remember his mohawk hair do!

Thanks for dropping in.

Charlie, think of you often big brother. Hope you are well.

Todd, good to see you. He grew out of that one (and sadly, the mohawk too) and we sold it to another TG'er here. However, it is a Predator dipped Morrison ILF he's had for a few years.

It has been far too long JC - so happy to see you here again.  I hope it becomes a habit!  I have kept up with the happenings in your family through Miss Kim's reports on FB, but love to hear from you as well
Good to see you old friend, and good job with the boys.  They are turning out just like we all knew they would!

Good to hear from you JC! Even though we have never met, like so any on here it is hard not to feel like we've known each other through the stories told.

Was recently looking at the "Wheelie Sharpener" post you started way back and wondering where has JC been???

Same for the Wilson family hope all is well, good to see your back     :campfire:
