I don't have a Scout recurve, Andy, but the Super Shrew longbow shoots well at around 7".

Andy, Ron recommends between 7 and 7 1/2 inches.

Andy, I shot the bow at 7.5"s and it seemed perfect, any lower and it started getting noisy to my ears and it tuned best from there as well. Shawn

I am at 7.25" and getting good arrow flight and no noise. Just start at either 7" or 7.5" and start twisting or untwisting till things get loud and lots of vibration. You will be able to hear and feel it when it is not right.
