Does anyone make a stand like north star used to make that was sort of hybrid/Ladder/Hangon stand?

The ladder was in against the tree and had a fold down platform just like a hang on stand . A few feet below it was a couple of steps on the outside of the ladder to access the paltform .

I remember that one, but I haven't seen one recently.  Never tried one.  Just make your own with a ladder style climbing device and a strap on.  Not quite as handy, but would work.  Couldn't weigh a whole lot more than the other.

True but would like to have a few to set in my favorite spots .

As I get older, these ladder stands are getting more attractive, but so many weigh close to 50#.  Hunting areas far off the main roads/trails would make packing one of the these almost as physical as packing out the critter.

Are there not some good telescoping models around 30# out there?
