Well I keep seeing them heck; launched and arrow at one that kept taunting me the other night.  Missed by a hare.

But it got me thinking we should start putting out feelers for next years stomp. It maybe almost Feb before I can do it. I don't know what I will cook this year. Last years elk is almost gone and no deer down yet. Might have to scoop up some road kill and make stew.

So who is interested this year?

OK so 1 Feb meeting at my place around 0800hrs or 8 am.

Paul/KS

If I can get the time off I'll be there this year. Roadkill stew..
(Maybe we can order out for lunch tho..?)   :p

lablover

I'll bring venison chilli.I'm in wouldn't miss it for the world. Man Paul where is your sence of adventure no road kill for Paul.
Bowhunting is a passion, not an obsession. Its just hard for my wife to tell the difference sometimes.

Bryan pinick

I'd sure be interested in coming up. I tried last year, and didn't make it up for some reason I can't remember. Sounds like you had a great time.

KellyG

Bryan it is a great time. Heck we even shot at some last year. I have seen a bunch hopping around this year. I may try and find some other areas. But the other one has held a bunch of rabbits in the past though.

Paul/KS

My "sense of adventure" has... matured a bit Bob.
If it's fresh roadkill that would be ok, just don't want any that's passed it's expiration date.

(Though, as I think on it," expiration date " could just be the day it became roadkill..?"  ;)

Pigsooie

I'm in. Last year was a blast!!!

No short term license in Kansas. A yearly Non-Resident hunting license is 72.50.

Hope to make it this year. I'm sure it will be a blast.

Jeff I live in Riley which is north of Fort Riley. We hunt south of Clay Center on public lands on the northern end of Milford lake.

The last two years we meet at my place tell some camp fire stories maybe shoot a few arrows then convoy out to the hunting area. Hunt til lunch and then if folks are up to it might go out for an afternoon hunt.

Bowhunter4life

Sounds like a lot of fun, be sure to let me know when this will be when it gets settled.

Always like to meet other "Gangers" and fling some sticks!

I'm in. I am living in Derby at the time so when the time comes we can ride up with Lablover but be prepared to listen to Labs wild stories of his youth. Time well spent I should say.

KellyG

I may have some training to go to the 1st 3 weeks in January. Once I find out for sure I will let yall know and push out the dates so we can settle on what weekend works for most to be able to meet up.

Horsey

I would be interested in going, if you guys would accept a new guy on the stomp.  Paul, I would even volunteer to give you a ride.

Paul/KS

Pick the date that works best for you Kelly. This year I'll make sure to lock in the time off at work tho...
The more the merrier Mike, it's a fun time and last year they even managed to get a rabbit. Maybe we can get Horton to come along this year?

KellyG

Paul I will try and look at my work calender next week and try and plan something.

All are invited I just ask you Let me know if you plan on coming that way I now how much meet to put on the grill for lunch. If you have a cobbler or other side bring it and if not come any way.

Caleb Monroe

Just was thinking about this will all the snow on the ground.  Be warned the bunnies dodge arrows. I'm in for the 1st, 3rd or 4th weekends in February.
