Okay fellas, I need some guidance here.  I have two ivory scrimshaw pieces created by Marv Clyncke that I would like to install on the offside of my recurve sight window, like the old bear coins.

These ivory pieces are circular and about the same size as a quarter.  They are not very thick, so the depth I need to cut into the bow is shallow.

How does one go about doing this with precision?  I'm sure guys have inserted coins before so I think the process would be similar.

I've installed quiver bushings before, but that seems infinitely easier.

Really could use some tips, tricks and guidance with this project.

Thanks
Todd

I use a forstner bit the same size as my coins.

Yep, what Jason says.  And use a drill press. I find that a little bit of acrylic caulk will hold most pieces in place.
