I had a photo like that a few months ago and the story was a new archer was being helped to set his bow up that he bought at an archery shop. The owner was handing him arrows and handed him one that was 2 inches to short, on release the arrow hit the riser and splintered the arrow.

I have a photo of a friend that had a woodie break and stick in his arm guard. Our club had been stump shooting and the target before this happened had been a rock. I think the arrow was cracked by the rock shot.

Good post, you can never be too safe. I flexed a carbon from my compound days and it literally snapped in half. Now I flex my arrows regularly.
