Checkout this amazing piece of Myrtle.

I just pulled this piece out of the pile to start making some lams and am really liking the way they are turning out.

One thing about Myrtle is that it REALLY come to life once some sort of finish is put on it.  In the first two pictures below the wood has nothing on it.

The last picture is a bow I pulled out of the oven this morning.

Very nice.  I would consider that myrtle "burl" with the eyes and all.  Tiger has the stripes.  Still great looking stuff.  LF
