I use a wrist strap on my wheel bow; but seeing as I'm getting ready to make the switch, what is everyone using (or not using) on their traditional bows?

Fingers.   gently touch your thumb and index finger together on the far side of the handle.   :dunno:

Sorry, couldn't help it.   But really,
you shouldn't need a wrist strap, even with a fairly open grip.  When I dallied with a compound years ago, I had, then got rid of, the wrist strap.  It is a pain in the *** and you don't need it. (my thoughts).

I like a wrist strap on my recurve.  I have dropped the bow a couple of times when shooting without it, because of a very loose grip.  The one I use is a modern, braided style, that screws into the fish reel/stabilizer insert on my bow.

I also have an old "traditional" style leather wrist strap that came on an old bow that I picked up at a garage sale a while back.  I guess you could use something like that if you want to be more "traditional".
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.

I use the weight distribution of my bow quiver to ever so slightly roll the upper limb tip back over my hand so that my bow falls into my grip on every shot like a fly ball into an outfielders glove.

I tie a piece of para cord around my riser then put my hand through and wrap it once or twice.

That is my concern as well. I've been thinking I'll just move the one I've been using over to the recurve just like you are using.

I kind of do like Chuck suggests.
