This seems to happen to me every year , I have three day weekend to get out deer hunting and now I am hacking and my nose is running . How can you stay quite on stand like that ? Don't seem fair !    :banghead:

I know what ya mean. I have allergy to leaf mold. This gets me congested. Then it turns to sinus infection. Mucinex D works wonders and lasts all day. Drink lots of H2O

I am in the same boat, missing days that I should be out in the woods,

The nose running thing has been biting me lately as well.  I have to either blow my nose into my sleeve or blast snot rockets from each nostril or else I end up with a sneezing episode.

Yep the goldenrod and other yellow flowers have had me hacking for weeks. I don't know which one does it I just know if theres yellow flowers everywhere I hack and cough. Finally rained and the flowers are about played out so now I'm better than a week ago. Cough drops and peppermints help me but I've found if you use the most natural ones you can find like Ricola (risking getting deleted by naming a brand I know)or good old fashioned lemondrops or horehound drops work too. Sure there is the scent factor but your breathe by itself is a scent factor anyway.

I know how you feel.  Buy a bottle of Peppermint Schnapps (Sp.) and fill a small bottle to take with you.  When the cough begins, take a small taste (not a full sip).  My Dad taught me this years ago and it works for me.  I'm not a drinker at all but I do use this when I hunt.

I guess I'm in good company. Never had any allergy problems before, but the last several years they hit me like clockwork the first week of Oct. without fail. Had been going to the doc each year for meds when it had gotten bad, but last year I waited too long and the infection was so bad it ruined my annual hunting trip.

Trying to get a jump on it early this year by taking Cetirizine Hydrochloride Tablets and I bought one of those Neilmed douche bottles for your nose, to help prevent the gunk from sitting in there and becoming infected. Seems to be keeping the usual persistent sinus drip that makes me cough at bay so far.
